Who we are

Apart Hotel Sendero del Sol SpA, RUT 76.817.403-2, with its address at Los Nísperos 0702, La Serena, is responsible for the personal data you provide on senderodelsol.cl. For any question about your data, write to contacto@senderodelsol.cl.

What we ask for

When you book on the site we ask for:

• Name, email, country and phone number.
• Your ID or passport, for the hotel's guest register and, if you are a foreign tourist, to apply the VAT exemption.
• Dates, accommodation, plan, number of guests, approximate arrival time and anything you tell us in the note.
• If you pay by bank transfer, the receipt you upload, which shows your name, your bank and the amount.

If you write to us through the contact form, we use your name, email, phone and message only to answer you.

What we use it for

• Making, confirming, changing or cancelling your booking, and looking after your stay.
• Confirming your payment and issuing the receipt or invoice.
• Sending you the confirmation, trip reminders and arrival information.
• Answering your questions.

We do not sell or rent your data, or use it for third-party advertising.

Why we may use it

• For your booking, stay and payment: because it is needed to provide the service you asked for.
• For tax documents: because the law requires it.

Who we share it with

Only with providers that help us run the site, act on our behalf and must keep it confidential:

• Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the database.
• Resend, which sends the booking emails.
• Vibrando con el Código SpA, which builds and maintains the site.

Today online payment is by bank transfer to the hotel account. When we enable card payments, Transbank (Webpay Plus) will process them: you will enter your card details directly with Transbank and we will not see or keep them. We will update this policy that day.

If you book through Booking, Airbnb or another agency, that platform gives us your booking details and its own policy governs what it does with your data. We may also hand data to an authority when the law or a court requires it.

Data outside Chile

Some of these providers store or process data on servers outside Chile, for example in the United States. We only work with providers that commit to protecting it with an adequate level of security.

How long we keep it

• Your booking details, up to 2 years after your last stay.
• Contact form messages, 1 year after we reply.
• Payment records, receipts and invoices, for 6 years, as tax law requires.
• The record of any request to exercise your rights and our answer, for 4 years, to show we handled it.

After those periods we delete or anonymise the data.

How we protect it

We use an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access limited to the staff who need it and providers with recognised security standards. If an incident puts your data at risk, we will let you know, and the authority when the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it (except what the law requires us to keep), to stop using it for a given purpose, to receive it in a common electronic format, or to temporarily block its use while we review your request.

Write to contacto@senderodelsol.cl with your name and what you are asking for. We may ask for a detail to confirm your identity. We answer in writing and at no cost within 30 calendar days, extendable once by another 30 with notice. If you are not satisfied, from 1 December 2026 you can complain to Chile's Personal Data Protection Agency.

Cookies and measurement

The site remembers in your browser what you choose while booking. If we later add measurement tools such as Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity, we will say so here and ask for your consent before turning them on.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date. This is version 2026-11-04.2.
